Where was Shakespeare’s hometown? Was he really married? Did he have an affair? What do we really know about the man who lived over 500 years ago? It is not like he had a MySpace account to document his every move.

For those of you researching Shakespeare’s life, here are some guiding research questions that you can use to fill your webpage with information. These questions are designed to get you started – if you find other information that fits in, but doesn’t necessarily answer one particular question, it’s ok to write it down. Go above and beyond!!

· When & where was Shakespeare born? When & where did he die? Where is he buried (there are some cool photos of his gravesite as well as different monuments to Shakespeare)?
· What events characterized his childhood? Young adulthood? Adulthood? Old age?
· Creating a timeline for his life might be a good idea.

I highly encourage you to:
Follow any links that the web pages give you (as long as they’re not inappropriate & they are on task)
Go to the Media Center – World Book on-line connection. There are fabulous articles and links!
